Sending My First Children’s Book to Publishers

In May, I sent off my book dummy and manuscript for my very first children’s book off to the publishers. It was a BIG, brave moment. My palms were sweaty as I typed up the emails and I worried I’d pass out before hitting “send.”

In the end, though, I persevered through the nerves and actually sent it all off!

It’s so vulnerable to have spent so long working on a heart and soul project… only to send it off for someone to judge as “not good enough” or “great—let’s publish this goodness!”

But, it seems that all our beautiful secret dreams have risks.

I created a totally fresh and revised version of the “Goldilocks and the 3 Bears” fairy tale. I’m so proud of how it turned out! I’ll share more of what this project looked like here soon. Stay tuned!
